Purge your closet for 2014

That time of year has come again when we need to go through our closets and purge the items we no longer wear. Here is a flowchart to help you decide what items in your closet will make the cut and keep their cozy home for one more year. To start this task, you should label three bags: trash, keep, and donate Doing that will make the task easier to handle. Make sure you are honest with yourself; if you haven’t repaired an item that is missing a button in a year, you probably won’t and it is time to part with it. Keep in mind the 80/20 rule: You only use 20 percent of your closet 80 percent of the time, so it is possible only 20 percent of your closet will get the green light for 2014!
